AstroAmby is a personal hobby project. The aim is to get back to my astronomy roots.

I hold a master’s degree in astronomy, and during my time at university, I worked at the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) on the island of La Palma. At the NOT I did photometry and spectroscopy with state-of-the-art equipment.

My vision with this page is to showcase my process in getting into astrophotography – having photographed nature over the past decade, it is now time to transition into astrophotography and showcase my progress.

As part of this adventure, I must invest in new equipment. But the starting point will be what I already have at my home and then build from there. However, I have invested in a star tracker to get me going.
